“Great leaders don’t tell you what to do… they show you how’s it’s done, they stay behind the flock”.
The Bishop of Udupi Diocese Most Rev. Dr. Gerald Isaac Lobo visited the school and addressed the staff during his pastoral visit to Shirva Church on 12th November 2018. The Principal Rev Fr Mahesh DSouza welcomed the gathering and also silence was observed for the departed soul of Mr Ananth Kumar, Union Minister. The school report was read through a power point presentation. He also wished the Bishop an artistic sketch of the bishop by Mr Shivaraj was displayed on the board, a coloured portrait drawn by him was presented by the senior teachers. The Correspondent presented a sapling as a memento.
The Bishop’s message was appropriate and an inspiring one. First he congratulated and appreciated the dedication and hard work of the staff under the right direction and leadership of the Principal. The first indicator of your success is the increase in the student’s strength, then infrastructure and all other facilities. He gave a 9 point slogan as what makes a good teacher all starting with the letter ‘E’ and the challenges a teacher and an institution has to cope up in the present education scenario. Now we have to come together and plan a vision and mission for 50 years ahead. He quoted failing to plan is planning to fail. He thanked and wished well to the Correspondent, Principal and staff.
The Principal thanked the Bishop, Correspondent and staff.
