Purple is the colour which combines the calm stability of blue and the fierce energy of red. The colour purple is often associated with royalty, nobility, luxury, power and ambition. It is a rare occurring colour in nature and as a result is often seen as having sacred meaning. Lavender, orchid, lilac and violet flowers are considered delicate and precious.
To make the tiny tots aware about colours and how they add beauty to the things around us, Purple Day was celebrated on 3rd of September, 2019. Students from each section sang rhymes and songs based on Purple colour and spoke few sentences on Purple coloured objects. Raizel Maria of UKG spoke about the significance of the colour Purple. Colour recognition was done by displaying various things in purple.Mr. MerwinMenezes and the Principal Rev. Fr. Mahesh D’souza were present at the celebration. The principal explained the significance of the celebration and enlightened them about “United we stand, divided we fall”. Children took part with great enthusiasm in colouring and art activities which helped them to explore their creativity. Purple Day celebration reinforced the concept of Purple colour, which enabled the young minds to think how colours enhance and influencetheir lives. Each child was given Purple colour bookmark as a take home gift on purple day. It turned out to be a remarkable day filled with fun and excitement.
