The value of brotherhood, tolerance and service is imbibed into a child at a young age. To inculcate these precious values in making of a future universal citizen, the school organised Ramzan celebration and the formal inauguration of the different clubs on 28th June 2017.
The celebration started with a prayer song, reading from the Holy Quran by Suhail and prayers for various intentions. Aliya Zakir welcomed the gathering. The Muslim students sang a religious song, Qawwali and a spectacular performance of the ‘duff’ by the boys. The significance of Ramzan was conveyed by Nahida.
Duty, service, respect, protecting culture, environment health is our prime motto. The Principal Rev. Fr. Mahesh D’Souza symbolically lit the lamp and handed the light to all the leaders of the clubs. The Clubs are Scouts, Guides, Cubs, Bulbuls, YSM, Eco Club, Health, History and Interact. To add a feather to the cap, Renvil Furtado was honoured by the Principal for being elected as the President of the YSM, Udupi Diocese.
In his message, the principal appreciated and congratulated the Muslim students for fasting sacrifice and following the tenets of Quran. He also appreciated the in-charge teachers for arranging the programme.
Shakib proposed the vote of thanks and Rizma compered the programme. To enhance the joy of the festival, sweets were distributed to the students.
