Gentle Good Bye
Our memories of Yesterday will last a lifetime; we’ll take the Best, forget the Rest, and someday will find that these are the Best of times.
Te most sentimental moments to be cherished for a life time is to say Goodbye to your Alma Mater, Where one has spent the beautiful years of childhood and growing into an adolescent. It was on 12th march the Class 10th of 2017-18 had their Farewell programme. In the morning at 10.30 a special Thanksgiving mass was offered and the whole school joined in prayers to wish them Good luck. The Correspondent V. Rev Fr Stany Tauro was the main celebrant along with the Principal. An appropriate introduction was read by Renvil Furtado, Reading of the Gospel by Rishal D’Mello, the Pslam sung melodiously by Cleona Quadras. Prayer of the Faithful was said by students. The Offertory procession was very meaningful and grand where every student with colourful attire and offerings in their hands marched towards the altar. Ashel Fernandes read the Thanksgiving prayers. Afternoon lunch with the staff was a memorable one.
Afternoon the send off Celebration was well organized. A prayer song was sung by the juniors. Diksha welcomed the gathering.
Mrs.Irine Cardoza sang a song May the God Lord bless and keep you and also offered a bouquet of 70 flowers.
Wishing well and recollecting memories with the seniors was shared by Avni Ferrao of Class 9th. Royston Mathias and Sherlin Menezes expressed their journey from Lower K G to Class 10th along with words of gratitude and that they will miss the school.
Welcome and farewell song was sung by Class 8th and 9th. Memento was given to each student. The Catechism and Value Education Examination Certificates for Class 7th and 10th were given away by the Correspondent.
The Principal in his message expressed that he had a very close relation with Class 10, in spite of a division this year; they were together in all activities. Today during the programme we realized their involvement and leadership. Today leaving the school, friends and teachers is indeed sad, but that’s one phase of life. The Correspondent wished the students to achieve success and bring laurels to the school. You may go to different parts of the world but always remember your alma Mater and be proud of her. As a sign of gratitude the students collected and donated Rs.50,000/- for the development of the school. A Cultural programme was performed by class 9th students. Vote of thanks was proposed by Preran Kotian and the master of ceremony was Wilcita Lobo and Welwyn D Souza.
