Vanamahotsava Celebration 2019

For the air we breathe, for the food we eat or for our entire lif ewe depend on plants and trees. It is useless if we have only celebrations, speeches or write essays on save forest unless we plant and protect trees.

The school celebrated this festival of planting trees on 4th July with collaboration of Rotary Club Shirva. The President of the club Mr. Sunil Cabral in his speech called upon the students to plant trees in their homes and also to take care and nurture them. He cautioned the students how deforestation today is leading to scarcity of water everywhere.

The Principal Fr. Mahesh Dsouza encouraged the students to develop a echo friendly nature with mother earth. He further said to preserve plants and trees which play a vital role in maintaining the ecological balance in nature.

Variety of sapling were distributed to the office bearers of the Student council as well as the scouts and guides students .Students also exhibited posters, cards on the notice board to save and care for the plants and trees. The members of Rotary Club Shirva Rtn. Dayanada Shetty,  Rtn.  Vishnu Murthi Sarlaya, Rtn. Michael Mathias were present during this occasion. Rishal Mathias of grade X welcomed the gathering, Andrea Monis grade x proposed the vote of thanks.
