Vanamahotsava Celebration

The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago. The second best time is now. The future is in our hands.

It’s the right time when Mother Nature abounds in life with the showers of rain. All over India Vanamahotsava is celebrated in the month of July. On 17th July, Vanamahotsava was celebrated in the school to create an awareness among the students to protect nature and to save the Earth. Rishona D’Souza welcomed the gathering. Appropriate verses from the Quran, Bible and Rig Veda related to nature were read. Humble prayers were offered. Melanie Quadros said about the awareness of planting trees and protection of nature. The Principal Rev. Fr Mahesh D’Souza, SPL Ameena of High School and Haston D’Souza of Primary together symbolically planted a sapling. The Principal handed a sapling to some students and staff members. In his message the Principal urged the students to have an Eco-Green environment and also to have some greenery around their houses.

A skit and a dance was performed related to nature.

On this occasion, certificates were given to the students who appeared for the Grade Exam in drawing last year.

Diya compered the programme and Shawn Saldanha proposed the Vote of Thanks.
