“Evey child is a different kind of flower, and all together makes this world a beautiful Garden”. Children are the wonderful gifts of God to the human society. It is they who make school a happy home. On 13th November 2021, the school organised children’s day celebration in school auditorium. Very Rev Fr Denis D’Sa, the Correspondent of Don Bosco English Medium School, Shirva, presided over the programme. Mrs Vandana Rai a well-known artist and choreographer was the Chief Guest of the programme. Principal Miss Myrtle L.F. Lewis, Vice-Principal Mrs Irene Cardoza, Senior Secondary co-ordinator Fr RolwynAranha, College Pupil leader Adrin Alva, School Pupil leader Ethan Martin and Assistant School Pupil leaderRolwyn Menezes were present.
The teachers with their rhythmic steps presented a beautiful prayer dance. All the teachers wished the children by a song.The Principal in her address asked students to imitate the values lived by Chacha Nehru.
The Chief Guest was felicitated by the dignitaries who were present on the dais. The Chief Guest communicated the message of children’s day through entertaining, inspiring and educative songs and dance.
Very Rev Fr Denis D’Sa in his presidential address appreciatedthe beautiful programme organized by the teachers. He also sung a beautiful song ‘Hiriyareerali’ by involving all children gathered in the hall. His message centralized upon the theme-We are all one.
The cultural programme had unique sequential presentation by the teachers. Lazy dance tickled the students with lot of fun. ‘AraluvaHuvugaleAlisiri’melody focussed to set the goal clearly. Laughing is the best treatment for healthy lifestyle.The teachers enacted a comedy skit. The teachers also presented a beautiful dance, street play and forest dance.
Mrs Deena Amathi welcomed the guests. Student representative Miss Livia Mendonca proposed vote of thanks. Miss Prathibha D’Souza read the names of the winners. Mrs Priya Noronha compeered the programme accurately.
