A good idea becomes a great idea when you let it out. The “Concord Ceremony of Guruvrinda” which is the Teachers Club of Don Bosco English Medium School, Shirva. It’s a day to thank God for His choicest blessings and also a day to thank everyone.

On this occasion the following four competitions were held.

1.   Video preparation on different given theme.
2.   Throw Ball match
3.   Salad Preparation
4.   Flower Arrangement

The group members of Empyreans, Aikyam, Ankur, Prerana and Abhyudaya participated with zeal and zest. Mrs. Cecelia Lewis and Mrs Jacintha Mathias were the judges of salad preparation and flower arrangement competitions. Mrs Shyona, Mrs Philomena, Mr Umesh and Mr Shivraj conducted creative games before the formal programme.

The staff choir lead the melodious prayer song. The guests were escorted to the dais by the Principal, Miss Myrtle L F Lewis. Very Rev Fr Denis D’Sa, the Correspondent of Don Bosco English Medium School, Shirva presided over the programme,FrRohan Dias, the Assistant Parish Priest of Our Lady of Health Church, Shirva, Management Committee members Mr Julian Rodrigues and Mr MelwinAranha were the guests of honour.

Mrs Irene Rodrigues, the co-ordinator of lower primary, welcomed the gathering. Mr Jason Ignatius Castelino presented the report of the year 2020-2021.

Rev FrRohan Michael Dias in his message spoke about unity among the teachers. The mastermind behind the foundation of the club activities at Don Bosco is our Principal, Miss Myrtle L F Lewis. In her felicitation note, she thanked everyone for the support and requested to carry on the same spirit in the near future.

‘Win or Lose Stay We Close’. The results of different activities were announced by Principal. Correspondent gave away the prizes to the winners.

In his Presidential address, the Correspondent, Very Rev Fr Denis D’Sa emphasised the role of teachers in school, how the activities conducted during Guruvrinda resulted in enriching the lives of teachers.

Mrs ZareenaLasrado proposed vote of thanks. Very Rev Fr Denis D’Sa prayed grace over meal. The yearlongGuruvrinda activities concluded with lots of gratification. Mr Jason I Castelino coordinated the programme.
