“Orientation is combined with a notion and expectation of progress and nothing is impossible.” The orientation programme for KG parents was held in school Audio-Visual Hall on Saturday 28th May 2022. The inspiration and stimulative session began with a prayer song led by school teachers’ choir. Correspondent Very Rev. Fr Denis D’Sa presided over the session. Mrs Pallavi Behara, Proprietor-Purple Space Children's Library and Activity Lounge, Manipal was the chief guest.

Mrs Shyona D’Almaida elaborated various activities of kindergarten. Various teachers from KG section gave the demonstration on different topics: Mrs Gayathri P. on English; Mrs Teena Mascarenhas on Mathematics; Mrs Leena Lobo on Story; Mrs Sumalatha Shetty on Rhymes.

In her address Chief Guest Mrs Pallavi invited the parents to inculcate reading habits. She called parents to tell stories, conduct activities based on stories. She requested all to read everyday at least 10-15 minutes. Replacing mobile screen to e-book or library books to divert their mind towards reading. She enhanced the idea of speaking to their kids daily, motivate them, teach them good mannerism, etc…

Miss Myrtle L.F Lewis, the Principal, thanked everyone for admitting their kids to Don Bosco school. The classes will start from 7th June. She requested parents to teach their children the value of money. She also highlighted important academic activities that will be conducted in the KG sections.

The Correspondent Very Rev Fr Denis D’Sa recognised the presence of all, narrated the difference between Listening and hearing. One can learn from everyone, even from a child and a maid. He requested to observe and watch what others do. Narrating a story of Golden Budha he asked to consider every child as Golden Budha.

Mrs Teena greeted with receptive welcome. Mrs Sumalatha Shetty proposed Vote of Thanks. Mrs Gayathri diligently compeered the programme. Parents of Kindergarten enthusiastically participated in the session.
