Report of bunnies
The inauguration of the Bunny Movement of Don Bosco Kindergarten was held on August 8th, 2024. The program began by invoking God’s blessings. The Principal Rev. Fr. Rolwyn Joy Aranha, Guest of the day Mrs. Josephine Rebello, the former teacher and guides instructor of Don Bosco English Medium School, the Vice Principal Mrs. Irene Cardoza, Scouts/ Guides in charge Mr. Umesh Kanchan were present for the program.
Bunny’s head Mrs. Shalet Mathias and Mrs. Leena Lobo graced the occasion. The Bunny Movement was inaugurated by unveiling the Bunny, by the guest and the Principal. Later the 45 students wore the bunny aprons. The bunnies presented action songs and exercises. The Guest of the day Mrs. Josephine Rebello advised the bunnies to remember and live the values learned in the movement when they reach adulthood. The Principal Rev. Fr. Rolwyn Joy Aranha congratulated the bunnies and encouraged them to be cheerful and spread kindness through lending a helping hand.
Thereafter every Wednesday Mrs. Leena Lobo conducts the classes and some group activities so they will know how to adjust to the group and society. Action songs will help them learn how to communicate with others. Some craft works to bring out their creative and critical thinking.
Report of Cubs And Bulbuls
*The Bharath Scouts and Guides, District Association Udupi and Local Association Kaup had organized Geetha Gayana Competition for the Bulbuls,Cubs Scouts and Guides categories at Anandha Thirtha School Pajaka on July 30th. Bul buls won first place and cubs won third palce in Geeethagayana competition and Bulbuls won 2nd place in the District Level competition.
*Cubs and Bulbuls of our School attended the Dwitiya Sopan Testing Camp conducted by the Local Association Kaup , on 30.January at Dandathirtha School ,Kaup. A total of 15 students participated in the camp.
* There are 48 Cubs and 50 Bulbuls actively participating in school activities. Classes are conducted every Saturday.
The Cub masters and Flock leaders are Mrs.Felcy Mascarenhas , Mrs.Jenifer Fernandes, Mrs.Divyashree, Mrs.Priya Fernandes.
Report of Scouts and Guides
Scouts and Guides of our school participated in cooking with Fire activity on June 29, 2024 at school
6 Scouts and 7 Guides attended online test which was conducted by the BharatScouts And Guides State Association Karnataka on 1/10/2024.
The same batch of Scouts and Guides participated in the Rajyapuraskar testing camp at Pragathinagar Manipal on 17th , 18th and 19th Oct 2024
Our Guides participated in the Geethagayana competition at Ananda Thirtha school .
The Scouts and Guides of our school participated in the event ‘A Day in a paddy field on August 12, 2024 at Bantakal in Mr.Vijay Dheeraj’s paddy field.
On 15th January 2025, 20 scouts and guides from Don Bosco English Medium School, Shirva, participated in the Road Safety Awareness Programme and Rally organized by Shirva Police Station in association with the Bharat Scouts and Guides Udupi District Association on 15th January 2025.
18 scouts and Guides participated in Patrol Leaders camp which was organized by Local Association Kaup at Vidhyavardhaka school Shirva
