Principal’s Message

“An investment in knowledge pays the best interest.” – Benjamin Franklin
Welcome to Don Bosco School, a vibrant and dynamic community dedicated to providing exceptional education and fostering the holistic development of our students.
For over four decades, Don Bosco School has stood as a beacon of excellence in the vicinity of Shirva, offering a comprehensive education that challenges and nurtures our students. Despite our rural setting, we pride ourselves on having the necessary human and material resources to deliver high-quality education at an affordable fee structure. Our Don Bosco community is built on the principles of inclusivity, equality, and social responsibility, ensuring that every student, regardless of their religion, gender, economic status, or academic performance, has an equal opportunity to thrive.
As we embark on the new academic year, I am thrilled to welcome you back to our school community. This year promises to be an exciting and transformative journey, filled with opportunities for growth, discovery, and achievement.
Celebrating Our Achievements
First and foremost, I would like to celebrate the outstanding achievements of our students and staff. Our school has consistently demonstrated a commitment to academic excellence, physical fitness, cultural integration, and service. Our students have excelled in various competitions both within and outside the school, and we congratulate all the achievers for their hard work and dedication.
Innovations and Enhancements
This year, we have introduced several new initiatives to enhance our academic and extracurricular programs. Our students have benefited from classes in the Veda Handwriting Lab, Uolo Spoken English classes for primary students, and practical sessions in AI and Robotics for students from class V onwards. The Xperimentor class laboratory has been introduced to develop scientific inquiry skills among our grade VI to X students. Additionally, we have integrated digital content from Embibe and Ebix smart classes, and the Class Saathi app to evaluate student progress. To foster physical, interpersonal, and social skills, every class participates in weekly Adventure Skill training sessions, and we have introduced new ECA activities such as skating and archery. Our nursery students are enjoying the Kids Adventure Park, which helps in developing their fine and gross motor skills.
Our Core Values
At Don Bosco School, we are committed to creating a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment that meets the individual needs of all students. We believe in respecting, valuing, and encouraging every student to achieve at the highest levels. Our core purpose is to prepare all students to be productive and successful citizens, ready for the transition to college or a career. To achieve this, we emphasize the development of good personality and fluency in English. For interested students from class VI onwards, we have introduced a UK-based spoken English course based on gamification and hands-on learning, certified by the City & Guilds Company.
Collaboration and Support
We value the collaboration with our parents and guardians, recognizing that your support and active participation are crucial to your child’s success. Together, let’s foster open lines of communication, nurture a love for learning, and celebrate every achievement, big and small, that our students will accomplish this year.
Looking Forward
As we move forward, we are excited about the promise of discovery and the opportunities that lie ahead. We are committed to continuous improvement, ensuring our students are always on a path toward excellence. Our vision is for every student to be transition-ready, equipped with the skills, knowledge, and character necessary to succeed in an ever-changing world. It is time to come together, support one another, and strive for greatness.
Thank you for being part of the Don Bosco family. Together, we will continue to build a community that is dedicated to excellence, inclusivity, and the holistic development of our students.
Sincerely,
Rev. Fr Rolwyn Joy Aranha
