Parents Day

The Kindergarten section of Don Bosco English Medium School, Shirva, joyfully celebrated Parents’ Day on July 17th, 2025, in the school auditorium with great warmth and enthusiasm. The event was a heartfelt tribute to the love, sacrifices and unwavering support of parents in shaping the lives of their children. The celebration commenced with a soulful prayer song rendered by the tiny tots, invoking divine blessings and setting a reverent tone for the event. The Principal Rev. Fr. Rolwyn Joy Aranha in his welcome address, extended a cordial welcome to all the dignitaries, parents and well-wishers.The Chief Guest of the day, Dr. Grynal D’Mello, a distinguished alumnus of the institution and an Associate Professor and Alumni coordinator in NMAMIT, Nitte beautifully highlighted the selfless love and silent sacrifices of parents and  emphasized the importance of emotional awareness, active listening and understanding children’s dreams, describing parents as multitasking actors who gracefully manage countless roles in life. In his heartfelt message, the Correspondent V.Rev. Dr. Leslie Clifford Dsouza praised the parents for their unwavering care and dedication from the moment of conception to the present day.He urged the parents to raise their children grow into humane individuals, to respect their children’s unique abilities and to create an environment where every child feels valued, joyful and finds life meaningful.

The highlight of the celebration was the vibrant cultural performances by the kindergarten students. Dressed in colorful attire, the little ones lit up the stage with their charming dance performances, winning thunderous applause and capturing the hearts of the audience.

Mrs. Leena Lobo proposed a warm vote of thanks and the entire program was gracefully compered by Mrs. Maria Correa. The Parents’ Day celebration at Don Bosco English Medium School was not just an event, it was a beautiful expression of love, appreciation and unity, making it a cherished memory for everyone present.
