The little ones of our Don Bosco Playschool and Kindergarten sections celebrated the harvest festival of Kerala, Onam, with great fervor on September 1st.The air was filled with excitement as students and teachers came together to honor this vibrant festival. Our young students, dressed in colorful ethnic attire, performed a variety of graceful dances that captivated the audience. The highlight of the event was a short, captivating skit on the legend of King Mahabali. The little ones beautifully conveyed the story of the benevolent king’s annual visit to his people. The celebration concluded with a heartfelt address from the Vice Principal Mrs. Irene Cardoza who spoke to the children about the core message of Onam—unity, prosperity and the spirit of sharing. She encouraged the students to embody these values in their daily lives, reminding them that festivals are not just about fun and games but also about connecting with our rich cultural heritage. Onam celebration was a memorable event that not only educated our students about the festival’s traditions but also instilled in them a sense of community and cultural appreciation.
