Maintaining Oral Health and Preventing Dental Problems
On 18th July 2025, Don Bosco English Medium School, Shirva inaugurated Health Week with an informative session on Oral Health and Dental Hygiene.
Dr. Gayathri Santhosh, Senior Dental Health Officer at CHC Shirva, was the resource person for the day. She emphasized the importance of brushing twice daily, avoiding sugary foods, staying hydrated, and maintaining a healthy routine. Her interactive session inspired students to adopt good dental habits.
Mrs. Irene Cardoza, the Vice Principal of the school, addressed the students, reflecting on Dr. Gayathri’s words. She emphasized the need to focus on the overall well-being of students by choosing a mindful and healthy lifestyle
A creative skit by the students highlighted the importance of oral hygiene in an engaging way. The program concluded with a pledge by the students to care for their dental health and promote awareness at home.
The session set a meaningful start to Health Week 2025, encouraging students to take responsibility for their well-being.
