Teachers Day Celebration

Don Bosco English Medium School, Shirva, celebrated Teacher’s Day reviving the legacy passed on by the legendary teacher, Dr. S. Radhakrishnan. The programme commenced with a few entertaining and engaging games conducted by the cabinet members of the school parliament, who took the lead in organizing the event in collaboration with the PTA members of the school.
Through a formal programme, the students gave a unique touch to the celebration. Very Rev. Fr. Dr. Leslie Clifford Dsouza, the Correspondent of the school, Rev. Fr. Rolwyn Aranha, the Principal, Mrs. Irene Cardoza, the Vice-Principal, Mrs Anitha Maria D’souza the PTA President graced the occasion. The programme began with a melodious prayer. All the teachers were honoured by the student representatives in the cabinet.Mrs Anitha Maria,the PTA President addressed the gathering, conveying warm wishes to the faculty. The members of the PTA also honoured the teachers with gifts, expressing their gratitude and goodwill.
In the next phase, the students conveyed their heartfelt wishes and gratitude with a melodious song and a dance performance, paying a solemn tribute to the faculty members. The cultural segment also included Onam and Eid celebrations. The students, dressed in traditional Kerala attire, showcased the rich tradition and heritage of Kerala. A Duff performance by the secondary section boys added vibrancy to the celebration, upholding the values of Islamic culture.
The Correspondent, Very Rev. Fr. Dr. Leslie Clifford Dsouza, addressed the congregation, encouraging students to be grateful towards their teachers, for they nurture, instill values, and shape their lives into valuable gems. The programme concluded by evoking a sense of gratitude among the student fraternity and a sense of fulfilment among the faculty.
