Parents’ Day Celebration – “Anubandha”
The Kindergarten Section of Don Bosco English Medium School, Shirva, celebrated Parents’ Day – “Anubandha”, a heartwarming event dedicated to honouring the priceless bond between parents and their little ones on July 18th, 2026. The word “Anubandha” signifies a deep, everlasting bond of love, affection and togetherness, beautifully reflecting the essence of the celebration. The event featured a variety of exciting competitions in which parents enthusiastically participated alongside their children. Families showcased their creativity, talent and teamwork through activities such as Floral Rangoli Making, Salad Preparation, Flower Vase Making, Toy Making from Waste Materials, T-Shirt Painting, Fruit Carving, Poster Making and an energetic Retro Dance Performance. The campus came alive with vibrant colours, joyful laughter and an atmosphere of warmth as parents and children worked hand in hand to create beautiful masterpieces and unforgettable moments.
The celebration provided a meaningful platform for families to connect beyond the classroom, fostering stronger emotional bonds through shared experiences. Every activity encouraged cooperation, creativity and mutual encouragement, enabling parents and children to spend quality time together while creating cherished memories that they will treasure for a lifetime.
The Principal, Rev. Fr. Rolwyn Joy Aranha, graced the occasion and addressed the gathering, emphasizing the significance of Parents’ Day in nurturing strong family relationships and supporting a child’s holistic growth. He spoke about the importance of the parent-child bond and observed that, while such occasions were less common in earlier times, today’s generation is fortunate to have more opportunities to come together and strengthen this special connection. He also commended the parents and the teachers for their dedicated efforts, meticulous planning and seamless organisation of the program, which made the celebration both meaningful and memorable.
The highlight of the day was the beautiful bond shared between every parent and child—a bond filled with unconditional love, trust and togetherness. As the event concluded with smiles, laughter and hearts full of gratitude, Anubandha truly lived up to its name, leaving every family with treasured memories and reinforcing the timeless bond that will remain in their hearts forever.
