The Kindergarten section of Don Bosco School joyfully celebrated Vanmahotsav — the festival of trees, with great enthusiasm and eco-conscious spirit on July 4th, 2025. The event aimed at instilling in our little ones the love for nature and an understanding of the importance of trees in our lives. The celebration began with a short and meaningful assembly where the toddlers were introduced to the concept of Van Mahotsav in a simple and engaging way. Through songs, rhymes and stories, children learned about the vital role trees play in maintaining ecological balance. Adding grace and significance to the occasion, Rev. Fr. Roshan D’Souza, the Assistant Parish Priest of our Lady of Health Church Shirva, interacted lovingly with the children, shared words of wisdom about the beauty of God’s creation and encouraged the young minds to be “Guardians of Nature.” He also raised awareness of environmental care through a lively and meaningful action song, which deeply engaged and delighted the students. The day was a delightful blend of learning and fun, planting in young hearts the seeds of environmental consciousness.
