The Don Bosco Playschool campus came alive with vibrant shades of green as the tiny tots joyfully celebrated Green Colour Day on July 4th, 2025. The celebration aimed to introduce the children to the colour green in a fun, engaging and meaningful way, helping them identify and relate to the colour that symbolizes nature, growth and freshness. The little ones arrived dressed in various hues of green—parrot green, bottle green, lime and mint green—adding a refreshing touch to the day. The day began with a warm welcome followed by a short interactive session where teachers introduced different green-coloured objects to the students. Rev. Fr. Roshan Dsouza, the Assistant Parish Priest of our Lady of Health Church Shirva, joined the little ones in their celebration and interacted warmly with the children and offered his blessings. As a meaningful gesture, he distributed saplings to the children, inspiring them to plant and nurture them as a way of giving back to Mother Earth. The engaging activity of the day was the “Green Walk”, where the children proudly paraded holding green items from home, confidently identifying them in front of their peers. The event fostered self-expression, vocabulary development and social interaction. The toddlers also participated enthusiastically in thumb printing activity. The Green Colour Day celebration was not only a visual delight but also a memorable and educational experience.
