International Yoga Day

The International Yoga Day was celebrated at Don Bosco English Medium School on June 21, 2025, Saturday.
The program commenced at 11:00 AM with a soothing prayer song. Larissa Dsouza from Grade 8 addressed the audience, highlighting the significance and history of the day. She emphasized the importance of incorporating yoga into everyday life.
Mrs. Irine Cardoza, the Vice Principal of the school, encouraged students to practice yoga systematically each day. She also urged children to share the benefits of yoga with their families, promoting a healthier lifestyle.
A highlight of the celebration was the mass drill showcasing various yogasanas. The Physical Education teachers, along with the students, demonstrated different poses with clarity and enthusiasm.
Wilona Castelino from Grade 9 served as the Master of Ceremony, while Hana from Grade 10 welcomed the gathering. The program concluded at 12:00 noon with a vote of thanks delivered by Nevan Fernandes of grade 7.
This celebration not only fostered awareness about yoga but also encouraged students to embrace a healthier lifestyle.
