Annual Day Celebration of Grade 6 to Grade 10

The Secondary Section of our school celebrated its Annual Day with great enthusiasm and splendor on Friday, 28 November 2025. The event showcased the talents, achievements, and vibrant spirit of our students from Grade 6 to 10.
The celebration began with the ceremonial escorting of the dignitaries by the School Band. The distinguished guests included: President of the Programme – Very Rev. Dr Leslie Clifford D’Souza, Chief Guest – Dr Ronald Nazareth, Registrar, St Aloysius (Deemed-to-be) University, Principal – Rev. Fr Rolwyn Joy Aranha, Assistant Parish Priests of Our Lady of Health Church, Shirva -Rev Fr Anil Rodrigues and Rev Fr Roshan Dsouza, Vice President of the Parish Pastoral Council, Mr Melwyn Aranha, President, of the PTA Mrs Priya D’Souza, School Pupil Leader (SPL) – Yashas Shivaprasad and Assistant School Pupil Leader (ASPL) – Miss Alani Danthi. Their gracious presence added charm and dignity to the occasion.
The programme commenced with a soulful Prayer Song, invoking God’s blessings for a meaningful celebration. The School Pupil Leader, Yashas Shivaprasad, then extended a warm and heartfelt welcome address, setting a cheerful tone for the event.
The Principal, Rev. Fr Rolwyn Joy Aranha, presented the Annual Report, highlighting the school’s academic progress, co-curricular achievements, infrastructural developments, and various milestones reached during the academic year
Mrs Irene Cardoza read out the list of Endowment Prize Winners, recognizing students for excellence in academics and special achievements.
Thanvi U L of Grade 10 introduced the Chief Guest, Dr Ronald Nazareth, highlighting his exemplary service in the field of higher education. A formal felicitation ceremony followed, honouring the Chief Guest for his contributions to society and education.
The atmosphere was filled with pride as the Chief Guest awarded prizes to the winners in various academic and co-curricular categories.
Further recognitions were presented by the Correspondent to the outstanding achievers of Grade10 and Grade 12 in the Board Exams of the Academic year 2024-25. He appreciated the students for their dedication and hard work.
In his inspiring address, Dr Ronald Nazareth motivated the students to pursue excellence with determination and integrity. He commended the school for its holistic approach to education and applauded the efforts of the management, staff, and students. The Chief Guest highlighted the transformative power of education in shaping society. He emphasized the need to nurture in children a strong mindset that prepares them to face the future with confidence. He urged students to develop clarity in their goals and to pursue every endeavor with passion and commitment. He noted that true inspiration must first arise from within, supported by meaningful influences from the outside world. Appreciating the school’s efforts, he remarked that every activity conducted on campus contributes to a positive change in students’ attitudes and abilities. He concluded by stressing the importance of creating a healthy, encouraging environment that helps children set clear goals and strive towards them with determination.
The Correspondent, Very Rev. Dr Leslie Clifford D’Souza, delivered the Presidential Address, appreciating the collective efforts of the Principal and the staff that made the academic year fruitful. He encouraged students to cultivate discipline, values, and creativity as they move ahead in their academic journey.
The programme concluded with a sincere Vote of Thanks proposed by the ASPL, Miss Alani Danthi, expressing gratitude to everyone who contributed to the success of the Annual Day celebration.
Cultural Programme:
The Annual Day celebration of the Secondary Section was held with great enthusiasm on 28 November 2025. The cultural programme, presented by students from Grades 6 to 10 along with the Primary Section, showcased their creativity, talent, and exceptional stage presence. Each performance reflected the school’s commitment to holistic development and value-based education.
The programme commenced with a graceful Welcome Dance by the Primary students, extending warmth and joy to the gathering.
The students then presented a vibrant sequence of cultural events:
Students performed thrilling adventure-based skills, demonstrating teamwork, courage, balance and physical agility. Their performance inspired confidence and displayed the spirit of exploration.
The energetic and colourful dance of Grade 6 highlighted the growing influence of technology in our lives, creatively portraying both the possibilities and challenges of the digital era.
Students of grade 7 through their Treasures of Traditions dance celebrated India’s rich cultural heritage through elegant movements, traditional costumes, and expressive choreography that reminded the audience of the timeless beauty of our customs.
A powerful and patriotic play depicting the valour of the legendary queen, Rani Laxmibai was presented by the students of Grade 8 & 9. The students delivered impactful dialogues and stirring scenes that brought history alive on stage.
A meaningful and thought-provoking performance spreading awareness on the harmful effects of drug abuse was presented by Grade 10 students. The students conveyed a strong social message through expressive dance movements.
Grade 8 students presented a dance – Unsung Hero of Tulunadu: Rani Abbakka
This dance honoured the bravery of Rani Abbakka, an iconic warrior queen of Tulunadu. The performance was both inspiring and educative, portraying her courage and leadership.
Grade 9 students presented a dance – Rhythm of India- a vibrant folk-dance showcasing India’s cultural diversity. The colourful costumes and lively beats received loud applause from the audience.
The programme concluded with an energetic tribal dance by Grade 10 that captivated everyone with its rhythmic movements, vibrant energy, and strong cultural expressions.
The audience thoroughly enjoyed each performance, appreciating the dedication and hard work of the students and teachers. The Annual Day cultural programme was a memorable celebration of talent, creativity, and cultural pride.
