Red Day

Colours are a fundamental aspect of early childhood education and language development. Teaching children the names of different colours and encouraging them to identify and describe various colours enhances their vocabulary and language skills. To introduce young learners to colors, specifically the color red, ‘Red Day’ was celebrated on July 22nd in Kindergarten block of Don Bosco English Medium School. A Special assembly was conducted with the emphasis on red colour. The students performed various activities including dance, rhymes, songs and also a skit ‘My Red Balloon’. Teachers and students were dressed up in red colour clothes and they displayed an array of red coloured objects. An interactive session was held where teacher and children discussed about the objects in red colour. The guest of the day Sr. Florine Fernandes was overwhelmed and congratulated all the performers for their splendid presentation. This day enabled the Children to explore different shades of red.
