Don Bosco English Medium School kindergarten Section celebrated its Annual Day with great vigor on 27 November 2024. The celebration was truly a feast for the eyes as the kindergarten students merrily danced to the tunes, their mirth echoing throughout the entire campus.
The programme was graced by Very Rev.Fr. Dr. Leslie Clifford Dsouza, correspondent of Don Bosco English Medium school and St Mary’s Institutions, Dr Edlin Glane Mathais, Research Fellow, Prasanna School of Public Health, MAHE, Manipal, Fr Ronson Pinto , Assistant Parish Priest of Our Lady of Health church, Shirva, Mr Melwyn Aranha, vice President of Parish Pastoral council, Shirva, Mrs Sowmya R, President of Parent Teachers Association, Principal, Rev Fr Rolwyn Joy Aranha, Mrs Irene Cardoza, Vice principal of the school, Ms Sharon Corda ,the CPL and Ms Varsha R the SPL .
Followed by a melodious prayer hymn, the formal programme commenced with a welcome address. During the prize distribution ceremony, the meritorious students were awarded prizes for their excellent academic performance. The chief guest conferred prizes on students for their excellence in various scholastic disciplines and co -curricular activities.
In the next phase of the program, the Principal, Rev. Fr. Rolwyn Joy Aranha, presented the annual report, highlighting the major events and activities of the Kindergarten section during the past academic year.
The chief guest, Dr Edlin Glane Mathais in her speech delivered a discerning insight that -Life is a wonderful journey filled with adventures, and each day brings new opportunities to learn and grow. Children should be praised for their efforts rather than just their results, as this fosters resilience and a love for learning. Encouraging curiosity and making learning enjoyable are essential to nurturing young minds.
The correspondent of the school Very Rev Fr. Dr Leslie Clifford Dsouza through his illuminating words addressed the audience and emphasized the need to prepare children for a competitive world. By equipping them with wisdom, knowledge, happiness, and strength, we ensure they grow into individuals who are socially, emotionally, physically, and mentally fit to face life with confidence.
The cultural segment of the programme was truly an extravaganza. The toddlers, dressed in brilliant hues, graced the stage, dancing in harmony to the tunes. The audience joined in applauding the tiny tots, keeping the spirit high throughout the event.
