Financial Literacy

Don Bosco, English Medium School, Shirva, warmly welcomed a team of 10 MBA students, accompanied by two faculty members, Prof. Diana Saldanha and Prof. Sivanand Bandarkar, the placement coordinators of Poornaprajna Institute of Management, to enlighten our students on Finance Management, an outreach program, as a part of their ongoing commitment to community engagement.
The program was conducted in two sessions. The morning session was dedicated to conducting interactive marketing workshop for the students of grade 6 and 7 through ongoing activities, games, quizzes and writing exercises, the key marketing concepts such as advertising, ethics in advertising and importance of discretion in purchasing were elaborated.
In the afternoon session the financial literacy workshop was conducted for the students of grade 8 and 9. This workshop introduced the concepts like money management, personal finance, budgeting, investment basics etc. This outreach program by Poornaprajna Institute of Management was an enriching experience for our students. The young learners gained valuable insights into marketing and finance. We extend our warm gratitude to the MBA students and Faculty of PIM, for the enlighting session.
