Independence Day

The spirit of patriotism and pride filled the air as the students of Don Bosco Playschool and Kindergarten of Don Bosco English Medium School celebrated Independence Day with great enthusiasm. The little ones, dressed in the colours of the national flag, radiated joy as they came together to honour the nation’s 79th year of freedom. The program unfolded with a delightful series of cultural presentations—patriotic songs, energetic dances and heartfelt recitations that beautifully reflected the love for our motherland. A special highlight was the role play by the children, where they enacted freedom fighters and national leaders, bringing history to life with their charming expressions and confident voices. The celebration was honoured by Rev. Fr. Anil Rodrigues, Assistant Parish Priest of Our Lady of Health Church, Shirva, who added a memorable touch to the celebration by singing a soulful patriotic song. He encouraged the young students to grow as responsible citizens and to be a source of strength and goodness for the country. He lauded the efforts of the teachers for training the children so beautifully and congratulated the young performers for presenting such a meaningful and spirited program. It was a memorable celebration that instilled in our young learners the true essence of freedom and patriotism.
