AU REVOIR CECILIA TEACHER

“Good teachers are the reason why ordinary students dream to do extraordinary things” In an emotionally surcharged atmosphere filled with mixed feeling on 26th April, students, staff along with the Principal, Correspondent, guests and alumni gathered to bid adieu to Mrs Cecilia Lewis, who rendered 30 long fruitful years of service in Don Bosco school. The programme started invoking God’s blessings through a prayer song by the choir group of our school. Mrs. Irine Cardoza the Vice Principal welcomed the gathering. Eden D’souza of class VII and Carol Alva of class IX spoke about their memories and thanked Mrs. Cecilia for being a wonderful teacher, who taught with love and passion. Mrs. Lydia Mendonca expressed her sentiments and appreciated Cecilia teacher who instilled values like patience, tolerance, kindness and determination, which helped her to excel in her profession. Mrs Irine Rodrigues, head teacher of primary section expressed her experiences working with Cecilia teacher. The Correspondent Very Rev. Fr. Denis D’sa expressed his appreciation, thanked her and wished her a happy and peaceful Retired Life. The scroll of honour was read by Mrs.Philomina Barboza followed by the felicitation by the dignitaries on the Dias. As a token of love and remembrance a gold ring was presented to her. Students offered flowers as a token of gratitude.
In her farewell speech Cecilia teacher thankedthe management for giving the opportunity to serve in this institution. She also thanked the Correspondent, Principal, teachers and students for their love and support. Vote of thanks was proposed by Mrs.Cynthia Periera and Mrs.Priya Fernandes compered the Programme.
