Celebration of World Environment Day

On June 5 World environment Day was celebrated at Don Bosco English Medium school with great enthusiasm and fervor. The celebration revolved around the critical theme of “Land Restoration, Desertification and Drought Resilience”.
The program commenced with a serene prayer song which set a reflective tone for the day’s event. The importance of World environmental day was shared by Zahra of grade 9, emphasizing how it serves as a reminder of our collective responsibility to preserve the planet and the need to engage in sustainable practices and foster effective environmental management. The school Principal Rev Fr Rolwyn Joy Aranha delivered a powerful message, underscoring the importance of keeping our planet healthy to ensure our well being. The principal stressed the need for active participation in environmental conservation efforts and emphasized that it is not only for one day but all need to take care of the environment throughout their life. A group of students performed a dance based on the theme of protecting the tree and safeguarding the environment for a healthier living.
The event was gracefully compered by Riya of grade 12th and Sonal from grade 10th delivered the vote of thanks expressing gratitude to all for making the event successful and impactful. On the whole the event was aimed to raise awareness about critical environmental issues and empower the students with a knowledge to contribute to land restoration and sustainability efforts in reinforcing the school’s commitment to environmental education and action.
