DEEPAVALI CELEBRATION

“Never let age extinguish the light of your inner child”
The early morning of 14th November was filled with mirth and laughter as the school was celebrating Deepawali and Children’s Day. The stage was beautifully set with lamps and lanterns. The celebraton began with a prayer song, reading of the Holy Scriptures by Aditya, Nashua and Ginnel. Various prayer intentions were said by the students.
Mrs.Irine Cardoza welcomed the gathering. The Principal and the staff lit the diyas to mark the festival of lights. Miss Sumithra recited a Sanskrit Slokha, Pranamya Tantry enlightened the gathering about Deepawali and Abhishek on Children’s Day. On the ocasion of Children;s Day, lucky games were conducted and prizes were given to the winners. Principal, Rev Fr Mahesh D Souza in his message wished the greetings of Deepawali and Children’s day. He told the students to be always happy, smiling, vibrant, powerful,never be sad, dull or lazy.
In the cultural programme skit, mime, dance and a song by the teachers was presented. Later in the afternoon, competition of rangoli for girls and sky lamp for boys was conducted. Mrs. Irene Rodrigues expressed words of gratitude and Rishal Monis compered the programme.
