Parent Orientation Program of Kindergarten 2025-26

To mark the beginning of a new academic journey, Don Bosco English Medium School organized a Parent Orientation Program to the parents of Kindergarten on May 31st, 2025. The session aimed to establish a strong home-school partnership, orient parents to the school’s educational philosophy and provide clarity on expectations for the academic year 2025-26.

 The session opened with a melodious prayer song, setting a peaceful tone for the proceedings. This was followed by the traditional lamp-lighting ceremony, symbolizing enlightenment and new beginnings. Mrs. Shyona D’Almeida, the Kindergarten Co-ordinator, offered a well-rounded insight into essential academic expectations, the range of extracurricular programs and student-friendly facilities that contribute to a rich and balanced learning environment. Rev. Fr Rolwyn Joy Aranha, the Principal, took the opportunity to familiarize parents with the school’s policies, expectations and code of conduct, ensuring clarity and transparency in the school’s approach to discipline. He also welcomed questions from the audience, fostering an open dialogue and encouraging parents to actively participate in their child’s educational journey.

In a thoughtful and inspiring address, the Correspondent encouraged the parents to mirror the school’s supportive environment and emphasized the importance of maintaining consistency between the values promoted at home and those upheld by the school. He highlighted that conflicting messages can lead to confusion and hinder a child’s emotional and behavioural growth.

The event was gracefully anchored by Mrs. Renita Dsouza. Mrs. Leena Lobo extended a warm welcome at the beginning of the session and Mrs. Sneha Shetty concluded the event with a vote of thanks acknowledging the collective efforts behind its success.
