Don Bosco English Medium School hosted a grand welcome as students embarked on a new academic journey. The school campus echoed with joy as the student community stepped in with excitement and anticipation. A welcoming atmosphere, enhanced by vibrant decorations across the campus, added to the cheer of the new beginning. Right at the entrance, the teachers vivaciously greeted the students with sugar as a gesture of love and care. Cartoon characters added to the jovial atmosphere, making each student feel warmly welcomed – it was nothing short of a celebration.
The opening day commenced with a formal programme. Mrs. Deena Amathi anchored the event. A prayer set a serene tone for the programme, followed by scripture readings by students of different faiths, fostering an inclusive environment. The portrait of Don Bosco was honored with rainbow-colored lights, symbolizing the fundamental pillars of the school. Mrs. Irene Cardoza, the Vice Principal, extended a cordial welcome to the gathering.
A cheerful welcome dance by the teachers added charm and enthusiasm to the occasion. The newly admitted students of various grades were given a warm and inclusive welcome. The Correspondent of the school greeted each of them with a flower, symbolizing acceptance.
Rev. Fr. Rolwyn Joy Aranha, the Principal, formally welcomed the newly appointed faculty members and introduced them to the school community. In the next phase of the programme, Very Rev. Fr. Dr. Leslie Clifford Dsouza, the Correspondent, addressed the students, making them feel at home. Reflecting on the values of the patron saint, Don Bosco, he gently reminded students to uphold good values alongside academic excellence.
The Principal also briefed the students on the school’s decorum, rules, and regulations, setting the tone for a disciplined and productive academic year ahead. The final curtain to the programme was drawn with Mrs. Savitha Shettigar proposing the vote of thanks. After the school anthem, students gleefully and with full vigour marched towards their classrooms, carrying new hopes in their hearts.
