“Honouring the Healing Hands That Care with Compassion”

Don Bosco Kindergarten, Shirva, celebrated Doctors’ Day with great enthusiasm and gratitude, paying a heartfelt tribute to the dedicated medical professionals who tirelessly serve humanity with compassion and commitment. The celebration aimed to help the young learners understand the invaluable role of doctors while instilling in them the importance of maintaining good health and hygiene. The program was graced by Dr. Claren Pinto, Ayush Medical Officer at Community Health Care Center, Shirva, as the Guest of Honour. She warmly interacted with the tiny tots and delivered an engaging talk on becoming a “Hygiene Hero.” Through simple and child-friendly examples, she educated the children about the importance of washing hands, brushing teeth, eating nutritious food, maintaining personal cleanliness and adopting healthy habits to prevent illnesses. Her lively interaction captivated the young audience and encouraged them to become responsible caretakers of their own health.

The celebration was further honoured by the gracious presence of Mrs. Cynthia Pereira who appreciated the efforts taken by the teachers in creating awareness about health and hygiene among young children. The tiny tots expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the doctors through a series of delightful cultural performances. The tiny tots confidently introduced and explained various medical tools used by doctors through Show and Tell Activity. The activity not only enhanced their communication skills but also broadened their understanding of the medical profession. The celebration concluded on a joyful note, leaving the children inspired to practise healthy habits and to respect the noble service of doctors. The program served as a meaningful learning experience, fostering gratitude, awareness and admiration for the dedicated health heroes who work tirelessly to keep society healthy and safe.
