Patron’s Day

Patron’s Day was celebrated at Don Bosco English Medium School in honor of Saint John Bosco, who devoted his life to the education and welfare of young people. This special event highlighted the values and teachings of Saint Bosco, inspiring both students and staff.
The celebration began with a melodious prayer song performed by the school choir, which set a spiritual tone for the day. Dignitaries on the dais offered floral tributes to the portrait of Saint Don Bosco, honoring his legacy. The students contributed to the occasion with a beautiful song dedicated to the Patron Saint.
The chief guest, Rev. Fr. Arvind V Severes, Parish Priest of St. John Bosco Church, Kelmbet, engaged the children with an action song that encouraged them to be determined and dedicated in their lives. He emphasized the importance of connecting with the service of humanity, motivating students to pursue their goals with passion and commitment.
The program was presided over by Very Rev. Dr. Leslie Clifford Dsouza, the correspondent of the school, who inspired the students with his words, urging them to remain focused on their aspirations. The presence of School Principal Rev. Fr. Rolwyn Joy Aranha, Vice Principal Irine Cardoza, Fr. Kiran Nazareth from Don Bosco Youth Centre Shirva, Fr. Anil Rodrigues, and Fr. Ronson Pinto, Assistant Priests of Lady of Health Church Shirva, along with Sr. Leema, Superior of Auxilium Convent Shirva, added significance to the event.
Students presented a vibrant dance and skit depicting the life story of the Patron Saint, infusing color and energy into the ceremony. These performances showcased the virtues of Saint John Bosco and highlighted the students’ talents and dedication.
Shivani and Sadvi from Grade 8 served as the masters of ceremonies, guiding the event seamlessly. Avish Alva from Grade 7 welcomed the gathering warmly, while Shiny of Grade 8 proposed a vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all who participated in making the event a success.
