Prayer Service For The Students

Prayer service was organized for the students of grade 10, the second CBSE Batch of Don Bosco English Medium School, Shirva, on 9th April, 2021 at 11 a.m.
The students carrying lighted candles symbolically entered the hall with reverence. Student pupil leader Adrin Alva administered the oath and students reprised.
The prayer service helped to instill confidence and provide moral and spiritual support to the students to prepare themselves for the forthcoming CBSE board examination. The reading from the Holy Bible was read out on the theme, “called to become the salt of the earth and light of the world”. Correspondent, Very Rev. Fr. Denis D’sa, gave a meaningful message on the reading inviting the students to make a difference in the society by radiating the goodness and to add taste to the lives of others as the salt does to the food. He encouraged the students to aim high, to move ahead with positive attitude and to transmit the good values that they have acquired during the formative years of their schooling at Don Bosco School. He instilled confidence in students saying that both hard work and trust in God are necessary to achieve the goal. The Principal, Miss Myrtle L. F. Lewis wished the students success in their lives and to come up with flying colours. Correspondent blessed by placing his hands on each student.
Students bid fare well to Mrs. Irine Rodrigues who nurtured and educated them during their initial period of schooling. Melani of Class 10 appreciated Irine Ma’am for her 38 years of dedicated and selfless service. She thanked the teacher for her love, care, concern and instilling good values. All the students offered flowers to their beloved teacher as a gesture of love and gratitude. Mrs. Gretta Noronha coordinated the programme.
