VANAMAHOSTSAVA CELEBRATIONS

“Lets take our hearts for a walk in the forests and listen to the magic whispers of old trees”
Vanamahotsava the festival of trees or ‘Forest Day’ was celebrated on the 5th of July 2018 in the school. The daily assembly was conducted before the celebration.
Chandan welcomed everyone, for the celebration. A poem on tree was recited by Vivian Castelino. We hear various melodious sounds of birds and animals in nature but those same sounds were produced by talented students. Heckson Macquin and Adlin Saldanha spoke on the ‘Importance of Vanamahotsava’. A moral based skit of A Boy and The Apple Tree was enacted by the students. The teachers were presented with a sapling each. The Vice –Principal in her message emphasised the importance of plants and the awareness to have plants in the environmnt. She told the students to plant a sapling on their birthday in your garden. She appreciated all the in –charge teachers and the students. Faheeza proposed the vote of thanks and Anisha Alva compered the programme.
