Christmas

Christmas is most truly Christmas when we celebrate it by giving the light of love to those who need it the most.
Christmas celebrates the spirit of joy and merry making. Christmas is the time that holds all the time together. The yearly celebration marking the birth of Jesus Christ was observed on 18th of December as a religious and cultural celebration among all the students, staff of Don Bosco Family.
The joyous moment began with the prayer song led by the school choir. The traditional culture of welcoming was done by Kaira D’Souza. The day was marked with a variety of programmes enacted, by the students and the day was filled with the ambience of true festive colour. The variety of programmes included the dances of the tiny tots who stepped on the stage for the first time to the rhythm of the classical carols which brought a Christmas glow on their innocent faces, the primary students enacted the birth of Jesus through the song ‘Charvahe’. Middle section students beautifully depicted the various scenes from the life of Jesus namely his birth and his public ministry of healing the sick. To make the season of Christmas felt there was a melodious singing of Carols by the students and teachers of Don Bosco. On this occasion the school Principal, Miss Myrtle L.F. Lewis spoke and said that Christmas is not a time nor a season but a state of mind to cherish peace and good will. Fr. Rolwin Aranha gave a Christmas message Christmas signifies that God loves us unconditionally, so he became human like us to serve the poorest of the poor. So the true spirit of Christmas lies in serving, loving and sharing what we have with the needy and under privileged.
