The kindergarten section of our school joyfully celebrated Farmers Day, paying heartfelt tribute to the hardworking farmers who are the backbone of our nation. The event was organized to help our little learners understand the importance of agriculture, food and gratitude for nature’s blessings. The celebration began with great enthusiasm as children came dressed in colourful farmer-themed costumes, creating a lively and cheerful atmosphere. Our young stars presented a variety of engaging programs, including energetic dances and a delightful skit depicting the life and efforts of farmers. Through these performances, the children beautifully conveyed respect and appreciation for those who toil in the fields to feed the world. The Principal Rev. Fr Rolwyn Joy Aranha graced the occasion as the guest of honour and addressed the children with an inspiring message. In his interaction, he encouraged the students not to be choosy while eating, but to enjoy all kinds of fruits and vegetables to stay healthy and strong. He also sensitized them about the importance of not wasting food, reminding them that many people in the world do not have enough to eat and that we are blessed to have nutritious food on our plates. He further urged the children to always thank God for the bounty of nature and to grow up with hearts full of gratitude and compassion. The Farmers Day celebration helped instill values of respect for farmers, healthy eating habits, gratitude and responsibility towards food and nature. The day truly sowed seeds of awareness and thankfulness in the hearts of our little ones.
