Nativity Feast of Mother Mary

The birthday of the Holy Mother, the Blessed Virgin Mary, was celebrated at Don Bosco English Medium School in Shirva on September 6. This event not only commemorated a pivotal moment of faith but also fostered a sense of community and appreciation for the values we uphold. The celebration began with a prayer dance performed by the students, setting a reverent tone for the occasion. Zia Dsouza, a Grade 5 student, delivered an inspiring speech that highlighted the importance of the girl child, which resonated deeply with the audience. The program featured various cultural performances that depicted the joyous occasion of Mother Mary’s birth. Floral tributes further enhanced the festive atmosphere, captivating all attendees.
The school principal, Rev. Father Rolwyn Joy Aranha, emphasized the significance of the day. He blessed both students and staff, extending heartfelt greetings for the celebration and reinforcing the values of faith and community. The event was successfully hosted by Breena Corda from Grade 7, who served as the Master of Ceremony. Alvita Sequeira from Grade 10 warmly welcomed all attendees, setting a positive tone for the gathering. The celebration concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by Anjali Fernandes from Grade 8, expressing gratitude to everyone involved.
