Teacher’s Day 2024

Teacher’s Day is a celebration and recognition of the unique efforts of educators in channelizing the potential of budding minds. The birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan is observed as Teacher’s Day all over the country.

Don Bosco English Medium School, celebrated the day, acknowledging the prime contribution of teachers in building the future of the country. Students of all grades took special efforts to make the day memorable for the faculty of the school.

The day’s celebration began with some fun activities organized by the students of senior secondary section of the school. Students cheered and applauded, as the teachers participated in fun games. Following the games, a formal programme was organized by the students. The programme gained momentum with prayer led by a formal welcome by Maxon of grade 12. Andrea Alva of grade 9 compered the programme. An eloquent speech delivered by Sonal of grade 10 reiterated the mighty efforts of Dr. Radhakrishnan as an educator and a nation builder. A floral tribute was offered to the portraits of Dr.  Radhakrishnan  and Mother Teresa by the correspondent, the Principal and various section Coordinators. 

The showstoppers of the day, the dynamic faculty of the school were honored by the students. Each teacher was presented a rose in recognition of the unwavering dedication and commitment to the growth of the school community. The Correspondent of the school Very Rev. Father Leslie C D’Souza connected to students with an impressive speech letting the students introspect, value and recognize the efforts of educators. The heart-touching words of the Correspondent left an indelible impression on young minds.

The Principal of the school, Rev.Fr. Rolwyn Joy Aranha thanked the teachers immensely for fostering, nurturing the minds of the students with values and wisdom.

Prizes and certificates were distributed by the Principal to the team of teachers, for bagging a third place in dance competition organized by Rotary Club Kapu in lieu of Teacher’s Day celebration.

 The progamme also coincided with the Investiture Ceremony of the College Pupil Leader and the cabinet ministers for the academic year 2024-25. In the next phase of the programme, Prizes were distributed to the District level winners of karate competition. Frenny of grade 10 proposed the vote of thanks and drew the final curtain to the programme.
