Parents’ Day Celebration

Parents are the greatest gift of God we have in our life, who’s place cannot be replaced by anyone else. The Kindergarten section of Don Bosco English Medium School celebrated Parents’ Day on July 27th, 2024 to honor and to recognize, to uplift and to pay tribute to all the parents of kindergartners who do everything to raise and protect their children.

It was a delightful occasion where parents, teachers, and children came together to celebrate the day. The program began with a prayer song sung melodiously by the UKG students. A well curated dance performances by the students spoke volumes about the depth of gratitude that the children owe to their parents. Our tiny tots showed their love and gratitude towards their parents through singing and dancing on songs dedicated to ‘Maa and Papa’.

The Chief Guest of the day Mr. Leslie Arouza spoke eloquently on the challenges faced by the parents at the early years of parenthood. He focused on having strong roots of moral values rather concentrating on achieving good scores at this age, to limit the screen time of the child to enhance its motor development, to appreciate the efforts of the child by giving them an affectionate hug, to provide emotional strength at every phase of their life, to communicate more and more and to provide assistance instead of over reliance of tuition classes at this tender age.

The Correspondent of the School Very rev. Fr. Leslie Clifford Dsouza conveyed the wishes of Parents Day to all the parents and assured them to impart value based and quality education which will mould the students into persons of character and values.

He shed light on to train, teach and transform the child towards radical transformation. The students had made beautiful cards with the help of their teachers for the occasion which they presented to their parents. Mrs. Shyona Dalmeida welcomed the gathering, Mrs. Leena Lobo thanked everyone and Mrs. Renita Dsouza compered the program. The celebration ended on a happy note.
