Deepavali

Deepavali, the festival of lights, was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Don Bosco English Medium School on November 11, 2023. The school was beautifully decorated with lanterns and diyas, creating a vibrant festive atmosphere.
On this occasion, the winners of various competitions held for Deepavali were honored. The handcrafted lanterns and diyas made by students were exhibited in the school quadrangle, showcasing their creativity and artistic skills. A student eloquently spoke about the significance of the festival, emphasizing the victory of light over darkness and good over evil.
Students from different sections performed graceful dances to melodious tunes, dressed in elegant traditional attire. To mark the celebration, the senior secondary students presented a captivating variety entertainment program. Scenes from the Ramayana were beautifully enacted, portraying Lord Rama’s return to Ayodhya with Sita and Lakshmana after his victory over Ravana. The story of Bali Chakravarti, known for his generosity, was also brought to life.
The Principal, Rev. Fr. Rolwyn Joy Aranha, conveyed his heartfelt Deepavali greetings to the students in his speech, encouraging them to uphold the festival’s values of goodness, unity, and prosperity.
