Gandhi Jayanti

Don Bosco English Medium School, Shirva, celebrated Gandhi Jayanti on October 2, 2023, with great reverence and enthusiasm. The event began with an all-faith prayer session organized by the Scouts and Guides, Cubs and Bulbuls, and Junior Red Cross, promoting the values of unity, peace, and harmony. This was followed by a floral tribute to the portraits of Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri, honoring their immense contributions to the nation.
The Principal, Rev. Fr. Rolwyn Aranha, addressed the gathering, enlightening students on the importance of Gandhian principles in modern times. He highlighted the nationwide cleanliness drive conducted on October 1, 2023, encouraging students to actively participate in maintaining a clean and green environment. He also spoke about the relevance of non-violence, truth, and self-discipline, urging everyone to follow these ideals in their daily lives.
Students presented inspiring speeches, patriotic songs, and skits portraying the life and sacrifices of Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri. The event served as a reminder of the rich legacy left behind by these great leaders. The celebration concluded with a collective pledge to uphold the values of peace, non-violence, and service to society.
