Republic Day Celebration 2020

The 71st Republic Day was celebrated in all its solemnity and grandeur at Don Bosco School on 26th January 2020.
The day was celebrated in honour of the date when the constitution of India came into effect.
All the students and the teachers assembled at the school ground at 8:30 Am. The Correspondent of the school Rev.Fr.Dennis D’sa Chief Guest of the day Dr. Priya Dsouza, Asst. Parish Rev. Fr.Ashwin Aranha, Principal Ms Myrtle L.F Lewis, Vice Principal Mrs Irine Cardoza were escorted by the school band to the school ground.
The chief Guest Dr.Priya Dsouza hoisted the National Flag and was followed by the singing of the National anthem. A flag song was also sung as it echoed the patriotic fervour among the students. Mass drill and aerobic exercises were displayed to showcase the skills school is honing in its students.
The Chief Guest Dr.Priya Dsouza the alumnus of the school highlighted the significance of the day, made the children aware that the future of the country lies in their hands. Hence they need to study well now and inculcate good values in life, which will help them to be good citizens of the country. She also acknowledges her Alma Matar with a sense of gratitude.
The Correspondent of the school V.Rev.Fr.Denis D’sa congratulated the students specially Anusha Quadros of class VIII for her inspirational Republic Day Speech, students performance in the band group, choir group, mass drill and aerobic exercise, he urged them to do their best and to feel proud to be Indians.
Winston Fernandes of class VIII welcomed the gathering; Ayesh Ishra of class VI proposed the vote of thanks Loydell Dsouza of class VIII compered the program.
