Prayer Service for first CBSE Batch 2019-20

A prayer service was organized for the students of grade 10th, the first CBSE Batch of Don Bosco English Medium School, Shirva on 22nd February at 10a.m.
The prayer service was started with students carrying the lighted candles symbolically and entered the hall with reverence. Student Pupil Leader Brannet Nazareth led the oath and the students pledged that they would do their best to live the good values that they have inherited through their formation during past ten years in this institution.
The prayer service was arranged to instill confidence and provide moral and spiritual support to the students to prepare themselves well in the CBSE board examination. The theme for the prayer service was “called to become salt of the earth and light to the world”. Accordingly the reading from the Holy Bible was read out and the reflections on the reading was given. Miss Myrtle Lewis Principal of our school provided with general guidelines to the students, wished them good luck in the forthcoming examination and invoked God’s blessings through a prayer. Correspondent Very Rev.Fr. Dennis D’Sa in his address to the students said, “You should become the salt to the earth by giving taste through your good values and good deeds. He told them to create a difference in the world through spreading joy, peace and love by their very presence. He instilled the confidence in students saying that both hard work and trust in God are necessary to achieve the goal. He gave some tips to follow while writing the exams. He wished them all the success in their exams and future life. He prayed a prayer of blessings and invoked the spirit of God by placing his hands on each student. Mrs.Gretta Noronha co-ordinated the programme and it went on systematically.
