SPECTRA – Science Exhibition

SPECTRA – the science exhibition of Don Bosco English Medium School, Shirva, was held on November 11, 2024. The day began with a formal inaugural ceremony during the school assembly. Sonal of grade 10 served as the emcee, Alvia of grade 9 welcomed the gathering, and Elsha of grade 10 shared insights on the significance of the day. The program gained momentum with a prayer.The chief guest, Rev. Fr. Rolwin Fernandes, Assistant Parish Priest of St. John the Evangelist Church, Shankarpura, inaugurated the science exhibition, opening a window to creativity, discovery, and invention. In his speech, Fr. Rolwin engaged the students with anecdotes related to scientific wonders, encouraging an inquisitive nature among the children and setting a firm foundation for future scientific endeavors. Following this, Principal Rev. Fr. Rolwyn Joy Aranha addressed the students, echoing the chief guest’s message and encouraging them to take up more challenging projects in the field of science.In the next phase of the program, the science exhibition welcomed a great number of spectators. Students proudly demonstrated their models, proving their competence in various scientific fields. The impressive AI projects captivated the onlookers, with models displaying a range of detectors. Detailed charts on the human body, DNA, plant cells, animal cells, neurons, along with 3D models of a volcano, the solar system, the human brain, and the digestive system, were educational and eye-catching. The models were a testament to the research, innovation, and dedication of the students.
