Yoga Day Celebration – 2024

International Yoga day was celebrated on 21st June at Don Bosco English Medium School. The students gathered in the school quadrangle eager to observe the day with great enthusiasm and fervor. The event began with a melodious prayer song, setting the tone for the day’s activities. Ms Kavana from grade 8 shared her views on the holistic impact of yoga, emphasizing how it extends beyond personal health to influence societal peace and unity. The principal, Rev, Fr Rolwyn Joy Aranha in his speech, inspired and motivated students to make yoga a part of their daily lives. He said, “Yoga is an art that everyone must commit to and dedicate time to practice, in order to keep oneself healthy and radiate these healthier feelings to the people around them and society at large. The significance of the day was well depicted with different asana displayed on the backdrop and a fitting demonstration of various yoga postures by the students under the able guidance of their physical education teachers. The celebration ended with a note of gratitude to everyone for their unique contributions to the successful execution of the event
