Adieu to Mrs Josephine Rebello

“Blessed by God for 34 years to motivate, care and inspire.”
30th March 2022 was filled with the blended emotions at Don Bosco English Medium School, Shirva, reverting to the thoughts of old memories and feelings of gratefulness to the Lord for having blessed with a special person in the form of Mrs Josephine Rebello. The staff along with the Principal, Correspondent, Management Committee members, family members of Mrs Josephine Ma’am, heads of St Marys educational institutions, invited guests, school alumni and students gathered to bid Adieu to Mrs Josephine Rebello who rendered 34 years of dedicated and fruitful service in this school.
The programme was inaugurated by raisingour hearts and mind to Gods blessings through a prayer song by the high school students. Welcome dance by Primary students instilled more cheerfulness to the function. The Principal Miss Myrtle L.F Lewis welcomed the gathering. Ms Falusha from grade 4th and Mr Astin Machado from grade 7th shared their feelings and memories with Josephine Ma’am. On behalf of staff, Mrs Irene Cardozashared her association of Josephine Ma’am, her qualities of singing, organising programmes and also handling students with love and care.
While readingthe scroll of honour, Mrs Cynthia Pereira beautifully narrated the journey of life of Mrs Josephine teacher. Guests on the dais felicitated Mrs Josephine Rebello. The teachers choir melodiously sung the farewell song in 3 languages.
In her response to the felicitation, Mrs Josephine praised and thanked Almighty God. Remembering her departed loved one’s, ma’am encouraged the young minds to excel in studies. She recalled old memories, thanked previous and present correspondents, the HMs, the Principals, the colleagues and the students. She also wished success to all gathered children.
In his Presidential address, Very Rev Fr Denis D’Sa, the correspondent of Don Bosco English Medium School recognized the presence of guests and entertained the students with a song. He eloquently elaborated the name Josephine i.e.; Jovialness, Observe, Simple, Patience, Honesty, Integrity, Novel, Energy. His motivational speech was indeed marvellous and increased zeal in the hearts of young. He also appreciated all for organizing a memorable programme.
Rev Fr Rolwin Aranha proposed Vote of thanks and Mrs Priya Dimple Martis methodically compeered the programme. The farewell programme ended with the school anthem.
