KG Convocation Day

“May we continue to do amazing things in life”

There was a sense of accomplishment and pride on the faces of the Senior Kindergarten students of Don Bosco English Medium School on 1st April 2022. As it was their ‘Graduation Day ‘which was presided by The Correspondent of the school Very Rev.Fr. Denis DSa, Chief Guest Mrs. Lali Abraham Mathew Deputy Director of Little Rock Indian School, Brahmavarand Principal of Little Rock Kindergarten Section, The school Principal Miss Myrtle L F Lewis, Vice-Principal Mrs. Irene Cardoza, Coordinator of Senior Secondary section Rev. Fr. Rolwin Aranha were present.

The tiny tots dressed up in their graduation robes and caps , marched in a row along with the guests accompanied by the school band to the venue. The programme began with the invocation by the UKG students followed by a welcome dance by the LKG students. The Principal of the school introduced the chief guest and welcomed the dignitaries, parents and all the audience.

Then came the most important part of the celebrations. The KG students walking on the stage for their convocation. Their smiling faces were welcomed by rapturous applause from the audience as they received their Diploma Certificates on the dais by the president and the chief guest of the function. The coordinator of the KG section Mrs. Shyona Dalmeida administered the pledge as the little graduates resounded the pledge with loyalty. The graduation speech made by the students left every person present spell bounded as they spoke about their classes, teachers and all the activities they had in the past two years.

The chief guest of the day Mrs. Lali appreciated the colorful and cheerful students, thanked the teachers for their hard labour in nurturing the students to this stage. She gave a few tips to the parents to follow in the upbringing of their kids. To be a role model to their children, to be sensible to discipline their kids, to permit their kids to be independent, to develop reading habits in their children, to limit their screen time and to take time to listen to their children. She also told them that each child is unique and not to compare them with others but to raise them with whatever talents they have.

The President of the programme Very Rev. Fr. Denis DSa cheerfully interacted with the tiny tots with a song and a story. He also complimented and thanked the parents for sending them to Don Bosco English Medium School. He asked them to bring up their wards with the value of respect to all individuals irrespective of any cast, creed, or religion.

The little graduates expressed their thanks verbally and through a thanks giving dance. All the KG teachers planned and organized the programme meticulously. The entire programme was compered by Mrs. Shyona D Almeida .
