Grand Parents Day Celebration 2019

“Grandparents are the strong foundation of the family, the founders of loving legacy, the greatest storytellers and the keepers of tradition. Through their special care and love, they keep the family united.”
In honor of grandparents, the Kindergarten section of Don Bosco English Medium School celebrated the Grandparents Day on 13th of September, 2019. Tiny tots were dressed up in colourful dresses. They were all very excited to perform for their grandparents. The program began with an invoking hymn sung melodiously by the tiny tots. Keerthi, Ian Alva, Ann Liva and Pratham welcomed the gathering and the dignitaries. The Principal Rev. Fr. Mahesh D’souza introduced the chief guest Mrs. Cecilia Lewis, the retired teacher of Don Bosco. In her message she urged the grandparents to share their life experiences with their grandchildren, to spend their quality time with their wards and enable them to grow up as good humans. The correspondent very Rev. Fr. Denis D’sa complimented the students for having such delightful grandparent who pour their unconditional love on them. He compared the grandparents to the lighthouse which shows the right direction to the sailors, grandchildren to feel secured under the right direction of their grandparents.He dedicated a beautiful song to the grandparents on behalf of the students. He expressed his appreciation towards the Principal, teachers and the janitors for the exceptional care and guidance they render to the development and moulding of every child entrusted to them. The Chief Guest was felicitated by the correspondent, Principal, the vice President of the Parish Council Mr. Wilson D’souza and the staff.
Needless to say, the grandparents were very happy and overwhelmed to see their grandchildren performing before them. Ethan D’souza of UKG dedicated a thanksgiving speech to the grandparents. The tiny tots had put off a great show with their mind blowing dance performance. The Principal Fr. Mahesh D’souza conducted some spot games in which grandparents participated with great zeal and enthusiasm. The winner grandparents were greeted with gifts by the correspondent which brought twinkle in their eyes. Nicole Lobo, Samanvi, Ayeesha Shanaz and Suvit Poojari proposed the vote of thanks. The entire program was beautifully compeered by Joshua D’souza and Vrudhi Shetty.
