Republic Day Celebration

Republic Day is celebrated every year on 26th January to commemorate the adoption of the Constitution of India in 1950. It is a day of national pride that reminds us of our democratic values and constitutional principles.
Our school celebrated the 77th Republic Day with great enthusiasm and patriotic spirit. The programme began with an invocation seeking the blessings of the Almighty, followed by the escorting of the dignitaries. The Chief Guest of the day, Mr. Julian Rodrigues, hoisted the National Flag, after which the National Anthem was sung with great reverence. The flag song further filled the atmosphere with respect and love for the nation.
Students presented a variety of cultural programmes, including patriotic songs and dances. Special performances such as pyramid formations and a mime highlighted the importance of the Constitution, the life and contributions of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar, and the courage and bravery of our Indian Armed Forces.
The Chief Guest delivered an inspiring speech emphasizing the significance of Republic Day and encouraged students to uphold the values enshrined in our Constitution. In his Presidential Address, Very Rev. Dr. Leslie Clifford D’Souza, Correspondent of Don Bosco & St. Mary’s Institutions, highlighted the sacrifices of our freedom fighters and stressed the values of justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity.
The Republic Day celebration instilled a deep sense of patriotism among everyone present and reminded us of our responsibility to contribute positively towards the progress of our nation.
