Kannada Rajyotsava Celebration

The Karnataka Rajyotsava celebration was held with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervor at Don Bosco English Medium School on the 30th of October 2025. The event was organized to honor the formation of the state of Karnataka and to instill pride among students about its rich heritage, culture, and history.
The program began with a warm introduction and welcome address, extending greetings to the Principal Rev. Fr. Rolwyn Joy Aranha, teachers, and students present for the celebration. The importance of Karnataka Rajyotsava was briefly explained, highlighting the unity and pride of the people of the state.
The cultural program commenced with the singing of the Nadageethe and kannada patriotic singing in praise of Karnataka.
Following this, a quiz competition was conducted to enrich the students’ knowledge about Karnataka’s history, geography, famous personalities, language, and culture. The quiz generated great excitement and participation, encouraging students to learn more about their state.
Next, the students presented a skit that beautifully portrayed the cultural values and traditions of Karnataka. Through dialogues and acting, they showcased the importance of harmony, respect for elders, and the pride of Kannada heritage.
A vibrant folk dance performance followed, highlighting the culture and heritage of Karnataka through traditional music and dance forms.
The highlight of the event was the Principal’s message, in which she enlightened the students about the significance of Karnataka Rajyotsava. He encouraged them to uphold and preserve the glorious culture, language, and history of Karnataka and to take pride in being Kannadigas.
The celebration concluded words of appreciation for all the participants and teachers who contributed to the success of the event. The day left everyone inspired with a renewed sense of pride and respect for the state of Karnataka.
