Au-Revoir – Grade 10 Of 2021-22 Batch

A grand farewell programme was organized for the outgoing students of Grade X, batch of 2021-22 by the students of Grade IX along with the teaching & supportive staff on Saturday, 26 March 2022. The function was held at the school quadrangle. The entire ambiance was so warm with emotions outpouring from the outgoing students. A warm up activity was conducted to the outgoing students by the teachers.
The programme began with a prayer song sung by the students of Grade 9. The correspondent of the school Very Rev Fr Denis D’Sa presided over the function. Principal Miss Myrtle L. F. Lewis, Vice Principal Irine Cardoza, Rev Fr. Rolwin Aranha, co-ordinator of Senior Secondary section and SPL Ethan D’Almeida were present on the dais. Mohammed Furqan of Grade 9 welcomed the gathering. Miss Livea Mendonca from grade 9 expressed her sentiments of gratitude. Miss Ishika Poojary and Miss Rachel Andrade from grade 10 shared their fond memories in association with the school. Ms. Priya Dimple Martis, teacher, in her message wished the students success and happiness and called upon them to be the ambassadors of peace and love and to uphold the ethical values that they have learnt in the school. Principal Myrtle L. F. Lewis in her speech called upon the students to respect all the teachers who were responsible for shaping their career at different stages of their life, to be considerate towards nature, make proper use of mobile and social media, have an ambition in life, pursue the dream and render a contented service to the society to which they belong. She paid homage to the departed soul of two students of the same batch Master Ackwin Mendonca and Master Adithya. Correspondent Rev Fr Denis D’Sagave away the prizes to the winners of the games conducted at the beginning of the programme. In his speech, Correspondent said that it is a day of mixed feelings of joy and sadness. Joy because they are going to the next horizon, graduating from one phase to the other, sad because they are saying goodbye to their friends, teachers and their alma mater. He gave an example of an eagle bringing up its young one and then detaching it from the comfort zone. He gave a call to the students to respect their teachers and meet them whenever possible, remember them and respect them. He quoted the example of our former President APJ Abdul Kalam remembering his teacher Rev Fr Thomas Sequeira. He called upon the students to recognize good in other person, respect others and to become a good citizen of the country. He blessed each onethem by singing the hymn “May the good lord bless and keep you till we meet again.” The correspondent handed over a memento to each outgoing student. The batch of 2021-22 donated a sum of Rs.1,20,000 as a token of gratitude and love to their alma mater. The SPL of the school Ethan D’Almeida expressed his gratitude to all his companions and teachers. Thanishka Moolya proposed the vote of thanks. The programme was compered by Swedal Mendonca.
Refreshments were served for all the students and staff after the formal stage programme.
The students of Grade 9 presented a cultural programme. There were farewell songs and dances to entertain all. The cultural programme was followed by a group photo session. The programme concluded at 12:00 Noon.
